Overview
Adamant Music School seeks an experienced, creative part-time professional to strengthen donor engagement and fundraising.

This 6-month contract focuses on retaining current donors, reconnecting with past supporters, and launching Adamant’s first comprehensive giving campaign — the Vermont Legacy Giving Levels.
​
The Coordinator will help shape every aspect of the donor experience: developing meaningful events and recognition benefits, deepening relationships with supporters, and building the foundation for long-term fundraising success.
Key Responsibilities
Donor Stewardship & Recognition

Thank donors promptly by phone, letter, or email; ensure acknowledgments within 48 hours.

Track and deliver recognition benefits for all giving tiers (Neighbor through Evergreen Founder).

Draft donor communications — thank-you templates, renewal messages, impact updates.

Maintain donor listings for website, concert programs, and the on-site Donor Wall.
Fundraising Campaign & Event Development

Coordinate rollout of the new Vermont Legacy Giving Levels and integrate into appeals.

Design and distribute seasonal fundraising campaigns (e.g., Spring Member Drive, Sugar Maple Campaign).

Develop and implement donor appreciation events and rewards — receptions, masterclasses, house concerts, or Vermont-themed thank-you gifts.

Collaborate with leadership to build a clear, tier-based rewards system that reflects Adamant’s artistry and community spirit.

Plan and execute at least one signature donor event during the contract term.
Donor Cultivation & Outreach

Reconnect with lapsed donors and alumni; coordinate outreach with board and volunteer callers.

Identify and qualify prospects for higher giving tiers (Green Mountain Ambassador and above).

Track pledges, renewals, and memberships; ensure timely follow-up and benefit delivery.

Gather feedback from donors to refine recognition and engagement practices.
Database & Reporting

Support setup of Bloomerang CRM and Fundraising platform; enter donor data, giving history, and contact notes.

Maintain accurate records of gifts, pledges, and communications.

Provide weekly progress reports summarizing outreach, donor engagement, and fundraising results.
Qualifications

Experience in donor relations, fundraising, or nonprofit development (arts background preferred).

Creative, organized communicator able to design donor experiences and events.

Excellent writing and interpersonal skills; genuine enthusiasm for expressing gratitude.

Familiarity with donor databases or CRMs (Bloomerang preferred).

Comfortable making donor calls and collaborating with the Board of Directors and volunteers.

Appreciation for classical music, arts education, and Vermont’s artistic heritage.
Contract Terms

Fixed 6-month contract, renewable based on measurable fundraising and engagement results.

12+ hours per week; remote work with flexible scheduling.

Reimbursement for pre-approved donor engagement expenses (printing, mailings, event costs).
