2010 Season of the Adamant Music School In addition to the summer concert series at its campus in Adamant, Vermont, the Adamant Music School hosts concerts and special events for piano lovers throughout the year. Admission to all events is free for members unless otherwise noted. Guest admission is $8.00; seniors and students are charged $5.00.

Special Fundraising Event: "Magic at the Quarry!" Sunday, August 8, 7:30 pm A night of magic with master magician and hypnotist Marko. $10 admission will be charged for this production in an effort to keep our school and theater flourishing and available to our wonderful patrons. All master classes are open to members and the public at a cost of $40.00 per day. John O'Conor Master Classes - Five daily master classes will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., July 9-13. All master classes are open to members and the public at a cost of $40.00 per day. Traditional Session- July 17th- August 7th Master Class with Menahem Pressler is August 9- August 13, 2010 Five daily master classes will be held starting at 2:00 p.m. All master classes are open to members and the public. The works can be viewed in the Meditation Garden near Waterside Hall during the concert season. Paintings: Jo Mackenzie will be our showcased artist in Waterside Hall in 2010. Watercolorist Jo Mackenzie has been painting seriously for about ten years, full time for the past three, and confines her subjects to that which can be found, nearly literally, in her own backyard. “I think if you look creatively enough there are endless worlds to explore in your own neighborhood. Because I live in Vermont, I must admit I am drawn to the color green.” Indoor blooming plants see her through Vermont’s white winters. Explaining the unique quality of light in her paintings, Mackenzie credits her wet-on-dry technique, using only one or two layers of paint, for “allowing the luminosity of the paper to shine through.”” QuarryWorks is located on the grounds of the Adamant Music School.
