Barney
Hall
The
heart of the campus, Barney Hall has served many purposes over the
past 100 years including pool hall, parsonage, and lodging house.
The wood frame building now holds Adamant Music School's Dining
Hall, a practice studio and sleeping quarters and is the hub of
daily activities for the School.

Built in the 1890s, the building was an abandoned parsonage when the
School's founders began renting it in 1942. Against the advice of
several contractors, the founders went to great lengths to rehabilitate
the historic structure and eventually bought the building.
Over the years, it has been extensively renovated and expanded to
become the operating center of the Adamant Music School. Today, the
building serves as a central meeting place for the School's participants,
staff, faculty and visitors. |
